Music Videos

After being pretty sick for the last 2 week and taking some time off, I got a call from Cuppa Coffee today to do some 2D animation for a music video they're working on.

Working on music videos for smaller bands usually have this trade off where the budgets are not as big, but the level of creativity and freedom to realise that vision is higher. It's alot of fun getting to make these mini 'films'.
That's all I can say on it for now, but hopefully when it's done January I can post some images.

I just found out that a music video I worked on a while ago just won 'Best Music Video' at Annecy 2005. 'Year of the Rat' by Badly Drawn Boy. The video was directed by Monkmus, who also did the Kid Koala vids.
Fluorescent Hill handled some animation and all the amazing post work.
I animated some Damon, random characters and all of the dog.
